We will pick you up at the express boat terminal in Finnsnes in the afternoon at 17.30 (Staurday 16:15) and provide a transfer to the most spectacular part of Senja. Our main base during the expedition is cosy Posthuset Expedition Lodge, which is situated on the waterfront at Skaland. The meals are based on local traditions and local ingredients, including fish caught in the sea off the coast of Senja. Exciting activities: fjord expedition in the Bergsfjord, birding and seal safaris and full day cruise to the small island where we pick sea gull eggs together with the owner. The expedition programme is based on the weather forecast and will vary due to the weather situation in May. Two nights in the Lodge. Departure from Finnsnes with Hurtigruten (Scenic cruise) departure Finnsnes 11.30 Arrive in Tromsø app 14.30.
Practical:
If you travel from Tromsø you will find the jetty for the express ferry in the city centre of Tromsø. Your ferry has sign: Harstad/Finnsnes. Arrival Finnsnes after 1 hour and 15 min, we will meet you in the arrival terminal. Monday departure express ferry from Tromsø is: 16:15 be there in time. (If you travel Saturday the departure express ferry Tromsø is 15:00). Your departure from Finnsnes back to Tromsø are with Hurtigruten. Departure Finnsnes 11.30. Arrival Tromsø 14.30.
Activity program:
Visit the Scenic Route outer Senja with spectaculare view points, full day fjord expedition where we pick sea gull eggs on a small island, together with the land lord. You will also hear the local history during our expedition day. We will serve you local food from the north during your stay. It may be an option for a hiking tour if you like. Reservations for bad weather for the boat trip, and will eventually replace fjord expedition with other activity

We stay in the cosy Posthuset Expedtion Lodge, it is sleeping cabins in the attic (only curtin in front), bathroom in the hall.
